World of Warships has just celebrated its third-year anniversary, and it’s come a long way since it’s 2015 debut. Over 28 million registered users, a development team that has grown from 40 members in the beginning to more than 300, and a raft of new modes and monthly content supply drops have collectively ensured that the free-to-play naval combat game is healthier and more fully featured today than it’s ever been.
But the team at Wargaming’s Lesta Studio in St Petersburg, Russia, are currently prepping two major additions that could fundamentally reshape the World of Warships experience as fans know it: a completely overhauled aircraft carrier experience, and the addition of an all-new submarine class. I recently visited the studio to go hands-on with both, and to speak to key members of the team, and here are six things I learned about the new game-changing additions coming to World of Warships that are sure to make waves with fans.
