The acquisition train that is THQ Nordic seemingly won’t end, as it has acquired two new intellectual properties: the horror franchise Alone in the Dark, and the real-time strategy franchise Act of War.
Announced by THQ Nordic’s Twitter account, both of these properties were previously held by Atari, though Alone in the Dark is a much more well-known entity. Although its early ‘90s releases are still generally well regarded and considered to be forerunners of the horror genre, later releases received mostly negative reviews. Its 2005 film adaptation received a particularly poor reception as well.
